FermataEnergy was founded to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) on the road, and the transition to renewable energy on the grid. Their V2X technology turns EVs into energy storage assets, combating climate change, increasing energy resilience, and dramatically lowering the cost of EV ownership.
Today the Charlottesville, VA company announced two key leadership changes that position it to Expand vehicle-to-everything (V2X) technology to EV infrastructure.
Scott Brierley, who as of last week led Nissan's V2X bidirectional charging initiative left and joined Fermata Energy this week as Director of Automotive and Strategic Partnership. See Brierley News Release.
Fermata worked with Scott and Nissan in achieving a key milestone in the application of V2G technology at Nissan’s headquarters in Franklin, Tennessee. Leveraging energy stored in the Nissan LEAF, Fermata’s V2B technology helps power Nissan’s headquarters building during peak-load times, which can reduce costly demand charges.
Finally, I also want to share with you that Marty Weiner has joined Fermata's Advisory Board. Marty was the founding architect, and engineer of Pinterest and the first Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Reddit. Marty brings with him extensive leadership experience in scaling companies in emerging technologies and new industries. See Weiner News Release.
Scott and Marty's leadership, experience, and depth changes the conversation as to how companies and governments will think about V2G and how they will incorporate it into the EV landscape
