FOX Business News reported, The electric Nissan Leaf can now be used as a battery backup for businesses - And other headlines from the past week!

This week was historical for so many reasons. We join the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth, and the world in mourning the death of Queen Elizabeth II. We send our condolences to the Royal Family. It has also been a historic time for Fermata Energy when this week Nissan announced that our client has the only approved bidrectional charger to be used with the Nissan LEAF without impacting the warrant on the EVs battery. This week I have had the opportunity to drive a LEAF as we get it ready for the North American International Auto Show and it has been a lot of fun to drive. We were also out in Massachusetts this week on another installation of their V2G system at First Light. Carbon capture issues continue to consume the headlines as you can see below and a few of our clients were targeted by a media outlet based on an inaccurate study on corn, with another used as an example of an issue impacting behavioral health which they hope the article leads to positive changes in Michigan’s mental health system.

This week we also welcomed ESPN and Stephen A. Smith’s show First Take into the studio of the nation’s first Black-owned television station and kicked off the fall art fair season and Suicide Prevention Month by promoting Common Ground’s Birmingham Street Art Fair next week.

Next week we have a client that will be exhibiting at the auto show in Detroit at the same time President Biden will be touring the auto show floor, which I have done in previous years with the mayor of Detroit, and we have another client that will be attending The White House Summit on Biotechnology & Biomanufacturing for the American Bioeconomy.  100+ artists will also be in downtown Birmingham for the art fair.

While some announcements are on hold until after the period of mourning in the United Kingdom, we are moving forward on a number of other announcements on behalf of our clients.
