Media Coverage From the Past Week (October 1, 2021)

We had another busy week working on behalf of our clients. Today, the U.S. Secretary of Energy (and former Governor of Michigan) Jennifer Granholm, along with U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff (D-Georgia) visited LanzaTech and LanzaJet’s biorefinery in Soperton, Georgia. We worked with the Department of Energy and Senator Ossoff’s office to coordinate that visit. We also received great coverage from Reuters and Fast Company for LanzaTech and additional coverage in publications in Spain, Germany, Vietnam, India, and Japan. This weekend the Guild of Artists and Artisans is hosting their Annual Artoberfest, and we were able to develop content for the Washtenaw Area Apartment Association.

  • U.S. Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm will take a trip through Georgia on Friday alongside U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff. The purpose is to highlight President Joe Biden’s agenda contained in two bills that have had trouble making it through Congress recently: the $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill and the as-of-now $3.5 trillion social spending and climate change legislation. Their itinerary starts with a visit to a biofuels facility in Soperton in middle Georgia. Then they will tour the SeaPoint Industrial Terminal Complex in Savannah and host a solar power roundtable before meeting with environmental justice community leaders, residents and faith leaders about neighborhoods near polluters. “I’m excited to head to Savannah this week with Sen. Jon Ossoff to see firsthand how President Biden’s infrastructure agenda will turbocharge Georgia’s economy with massive job opportunities in clean energy manufacturing and technology across the state,” Granholm said in a statement. Atlanta Journal-Constitution

MEDIA CLIPS Week of Sept 27

*Editors Note: We are including clips from the previous week just so we don’t miss any reporting for our clients.

It was another busy week for our clients, and below you can find a few clips from this past week. In our media engagement, we look for the root of the story to engage reporters in what are clients are doing and why. We also work with our partners, with other companies involved in a project to obtain greater traction in the stories we share. For example, LanzaTech partnered with MiBelle to create the first PET bottle made from plastic emissions that are now available in Migros stores in Switzerland, where both the bottle and cleaning solutions inside are made with carbon waste. The World Economic Forum picked up a Reuters story about LanzaTech that gave that story additional traction and the Prince of Whales launched a new television channel, using LanzaTech’s series as an example of where he is focusing his content. Pure Michigan picked a news story about Louisiana Creole Gumbo opening in suburban Detroit, I was even able to contribute to a story in Forbes on crisis management.

Next week proves to be another busy week with The A2 Artoberfest in Ann Arbor and a major site visit in Georgia, with a new project to announce in and around mobility – Stay tuned!
