Brookfield Embraces Carbon Capture With Plans to Invest Billions
From an outdoor festival celebrating the arts and beer dominating the streets of Ann Arbor, Michigan on a gameday weekend void of any football to celebrating the announcement of finding a direct way to produce ethylene from carbon emissions to celebrating women led companies with CNBC or continuing to make news on new rounds of funding and investments in The Wall Street Journal, it has been a great week for our clients and for us in sharing their stories. Here are just a sample of media clips from the past week.
This week, Brookfield announced a USD 1B investment in LanzaTech with articles in Reuters, Climatewire, and BusinessGreen in the United Kingdom. We also announced a partnership between LanzaTech, Yale, Northwestern University, and NREL to establish a new center for multi-scale synthetic biology. We also helped launch the new FE-20 Bidirectional V2X Charger for Fermata Energy in New York City this week, changing how we think about charging infrastructure for EVS. This weekend also brings Artoberfest to Ann Arbor, Michigan. With the University of Michigan Wolverines away playing the University of Indiana, Saturday can become very lonely in Ann Arbor. The A2 Artoberfest, produced by the Guild of Artists and Artisans, brings people back into the streets of downtown Ann Arbor for craft beer and fine art. Just another busy week for us at North Coast Strategies.
Cloudprime running shoes will incorporate captured-carbon-based foam and other headlines from the past week
This week the media continued to share stories about LanzaTech’s collaboration with On, Coty, Givaudan, and Coty among others. I am grateful to Amy Harder, executive editor of Cipher by Breakthrough Energy, for including LanzaTech in her one-year anniversary story favorites. LanzaJet also has a number of great projects and partnerships it is announcing and we are grateful to Robert Downey, Jr. and his Footprint Coalition for mentioning LanzaJet in a recent newsletter. News about Fermata Energy’s partnership with Nissan continues to permeate the headlines and we want to thank Alexa St. John from Business Insider for continuing to share their story.
Reuters story on U.S. ethanol plant emissions is withdrawn
t is very rare that a publication would withdraw an entire story but this week Reuters did from a story they published involving one of our clients. They even published their withdrawal. But hundreds of publications syndicated Reuters content and in a digital era, their story spread. But searching for that story online you can only find a few of them. This week, our clients at LanzaTech and LanzaJet spoke at events during the Clean Energy Ministerial. And The White House announced a road map for their sustainable aviation fuel challenge, which we distributed a news release about.
"On Running Is Making Shoe Foam from Carbon Emissions" was just one headline we made last week
From launching a running shoe with On and LanzaTech to advancing discussions on the power of vehicle-to-everything (V2X) technology for EVs at the North American International Auto Show to being able to see the President of the United States and Secretary of Transportation, along with our client LanzaTech attending the White House Summit on Biotechnology & Biomanufacturing for the American Bioeconomy, and getting ready for the Common Ground Birmingham Street Art Fair this past weekend, it has been a great week but a busy week for us. Here are some of the latest headlines clients are making worldwide.
